Convocation 2027 is set to take place February 22-24 on the campus of St. Edward’s University. We hope to see you there as Convocation is the largest annual gathering of Holy Cross educators from across the country and around the world. At the upcoming Convocation, we expect more than 300 members of the Holy Cross family to gather in Austin, Texas.

Centered on the theme “From Hope to Holiness,” Convocation 2027 will emphasize the personal call to holiness that grounds our teaching and apostolic works within the Holy Cross family. This direction beautifully echoes the recent call to action from Br. Paul Bednarczyk, C.S.C., Superior General of the Congregation: “Let us journey together in faith, hope, and most of all in holiness.”
As we look ahead to Convocation 2027, we invite you to submit a workshop proposal exploring this theme. Sessions should be both substantive and instructive, creating space for the Holy Cross family to reflect on how we experience holiness in our daily service as educators in the faith. Thank you for your leadership, and we look forward to reviewing your proposal.
Proposal deadline is October 1, 2026 and acceptance notifications are sent November 1, 2026.
If your attendance at Convocation depends on funding from your institution, please coordinate with your campus leadership team before submitting a workshop proposal.

The Holy Cross Institute owes a debt of gratitude to those who present at Convocation. Given the operational costs of Convocation, which the Institute bears in full, we do not offer honoraria or stipends to presenters. Instead, we ask that you consider your time and talent as a gift in kind that helps to make Convocation possible.

Thank You!
